Destination: Bangkok, Thailand
Total Travel time: 24 hours
including 3 flights (2 hours, 7 hours, and 10+ hours) and a 2 hour layover at the Tokyo-Narita airport... I'm tired all over again just thinking about it - {yawn!}
Now some might wonder if flying through Tokyo was a concern, what with the recent Tsunami and ongoing Nuclear Incident. But truthfully, not so much. I wasn't at all worried, and everything at the airport looked 'business as usual' to me.
Which of course means that I was wandering around looking for something to do...
Idea Number 1 - Admire stunning origami display
Did you see the little origami Ducks in that pond?!?
How cool are they?
Uber cool.
Idea Number 2 - Find postage stamps
When in doubt, stop at the Information Desk and ask. You never know what else you might discover too...
Hmmmmm.... I wonder where I can get one of those red mailboxes to take home? ...
Idea Number 3 - Go to town with the very cool Postal Rubber Stamps at the Information Desk...
It's entirely possible that I unpacked my carry-on bag and started stamping cool postal-themed images in/on every paper object I had...
You may even have received a postcard. Possibly.
Tokyo-Narita Airport... highly recommended, my friends.
Wow! What an exciting trip! So, did you get a lot of reading done on the plane, or more sleeping, or more observing, or visiting, or... wishing you could stretch your legs?
